LOCATION: The Backyard Market DISTRICT: Gardens of Pleasure, in the corner nearest the borders of the Tower District and Leisurebrook. TYPE: A classy farmer's market filled with locally grown vegetables, herbs, and fruit. NOTES: Despite the City's tendency to import all manner of things from parts unknown, there is a small group of people who come together to sell all sorts of organic produce to those who might want it, with the addition of cheese, eggs, milk, or honey, among other things floating in as available. Prices run along the usual level for organic: pricey, but not overly so. It's a relatively organised affair, set up permanently in what used to be a parking lot. There's a market open every day from 6 am until noon offering the normal wares, and in the evenings from 5 pm until 8 pm. The evenings periodically boast wine tastings or pairing sessions at one or two of the booths.
