LOCATION: The Bullet Hole DISTRICT: Coliseum, right near the Police Department. TYPE: A public shooting range that doesn't try to be anything it isn't. NOTES: An expansive one-story building in the Coliseum District, The Bullet Hole tends to be the go-to for most of the off-duty police officers who want to spend a little of their free time practicing their marksmanship. The first floor is host to a professional shooting gallery with 22 stalls, and a private observation section for visitors to keep an eye on the others, and a small shop area in the very front. The basement, which is led down a spiral staircase from the shop area, boasts an obstacle course and open range for law enforcement training exercises and competition matches. It's one of the more industrial-looking buildings on the block, and is a very clean, sterile white on the inside, with concrete floors.
